Lachman Dass Arora passed away

CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE NEWS Haryana’s former Industries Minister Lachman Dass Arora passed away at Sirsa today after prolonged illness at the age of 80. Born in 1932 at Mansa in Punjab, Arora remained the MLA from Sirsa for five times and was also a minister thrice.

He first contested on a Jan Sangh ticket in 1967 and won. In 1981, he won as an Indepenent and in the 1991, 2000 and 2005 elections, he romped home on the Congress ticket. Arora was undergoing treatment at Vedanta Hospital and was brought to a Sirsa hospital recently.

LD Arora Minister for Industries Haryana since last few days, the minister while touring several villages of Sirsa, informed the public about the welfare and industrial polices of the Haryana Government under the aegis of Bhupinder Singh Hooda CM. Mr. LD Arora was accompanied by his daughter Ms. Sunita Setia, Gokul, Rattan Singh and other Congress leaders.

Elsewhere, Sh. Bhupesh Mehta another prominent Congress leader also had been touring several localities and peripheral villages on a similar mission.With virtually no opposition left in Haryana, these leaders in anticipation of early assembly elections in Haryana have stepped up their public relation exercises.
